Christmas 2008 and 7 Months Old
Christmas was very bitter/sweet this year. We missed Maw Maw terribly, sometimes it felt like we were just going through the motions. However, it was Drew's first Christmas so everyone enjoyed watching and playing with him. He loved wrapping paper more than anything! Santa was very good to Drew this year. We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I can't believe it is already that time of year again. Drew has still been struggling at daycare. He has another cold and an ear infection.

Hard Times
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. It's been a very rough few weeks for our family. My dear and wonderful grandmother left us to be with the lord Novemeber 19th. It was very sudden and shocking. We already miss her so much. She was such a spunky and loving lady who was loved by so many people. Please keep my grandfather in your prayers as he is already so lonely without her. They have been married 65 years and 10 months.
Chris, Drew, and I went to Kentucky for the Thanksgiving holidays. We had a great time. Although Drew has been really sick. He had to have an ultrasound done on his abdomen yesterday and we are running a few other tests to see what has caused his stomach problems. He is feeling much better today so hopefully he is on the mend.
We have made some really cute pictures of Drew over the past few weeks. I will get those posted ASAP!! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Going Back To Work
A lot has gone on the past few weeks. I finally went back to work after having the summer off, and 12 weeks in the fall. My first day back was October 24th. Drew's first day at daycare was October 28th. Yes, I had a complete meltdown, but am much better now. And like any child going to daycare Drew caught a cold his first week. We are still battling a runny nose, but he has not had a fever thank goodness!
Chris' parents came to visit this weekend and that was very nice. They are trying to come down once a month. Drew loves to see them. He is such a happy little boy. He was such a "tough audience" to start with but now he smiles and laughs all the time!
He has also gotten to where he loves his dogs Maddie and Ringo. Maddie is a beagle and Ringo is a mixed schnauzer/terrier looking dog. Ringo seems to like Drew and he loves to lick Drew's feet. Drew LOVES that!!!! Maddie pretty much ignores Drew, oh well, you can't win them all.
We are doing GREAT with food. His favorites so far are carrotts and grean beans. Next week we will get to start fruits.
We are all getting excited about the holidays. Drew had his picture made with Santa Clause a few weeks ago and it went really well. Chris and I were surprised. I will post the pictures after the photographer uploads them online.
Chris, Drew and I will be traveling to Kentucky for Thanksgiving, then staying in Alabama for Christmas. We will see how that works out. I am excited about being in Louisville to do some after thanksgiving shopping!!!!! Chris is just happy to be going home for the holiday. He hasn't been able to be in Kentucky for Thanksgiving in 4 years.
Drew will have his debut as a pumpkin in the children's thanksgiving program at church!!!! They are thinking they are going to put all of the bed babies in strollers and have them sit on stage like they are a pumpkin patch! I can't wait to see if it will actually happen. I can't get Drew to sit still for a picture much less a performance!!

5 months old
WOW!!! Drew is changing daily. He loves to roll over from his back to his belly, then he gets really mad because he can't get back over to his back. It's fun to watch! He has discovered blowing bubbles and how cool his toes are. When he is in his swing or propped up in the chair he loves to play with his toes. He has also gotten used to his exersaucer and jumperoo. He will only stay in the jumperoo a few minutes, he's not so sure about it. But he seems to love the exersaucer.
Not only has he started eating rice cereal, he had his first taste of squash last week. He made the worst face I have ever seen, but now he cannot get enough of it. We are going to give him sweet potatoes next. I hope he likes them. I'm taking him this week to the Doc to see how much he weighs and how long he is.
We are going to Nocolula Falls next weekend to make some family snapshots to use on Christmas cards. I hope they turn out well. They should with all of the leaves starting to now change colors. We are also taking Drew to a photo shoot with Santa next Thursday. We are praying that he doesn't get too upset when he sees Santa.

4 Months Old!!
We went to the Dr. yesterday for Drew's 4 month checkup. He weighs 16 pounds 4 ounces. He is 26 3/4 inches long. He had all of his shots which kills me to watch, but I know he has to have them. We also started Rice Cereal and he LOVED it! He's growing up!
